AVIAN BINDING: Ushijima can mentally bind and take charge of birds, more specifically birds of prey, having control of what it does, including scrying: perceiving feelings, senses and pain through them. Physical contact with the bird is needed at least once to perform a link, and afterwards allows entering the mind at any time and any distance.

MUTATION: A small extra to his actual quirk, Ushijima presents and shares some raptor-like qualities, the most noticeable being his hair and what should be hair on him, replaced with olive-brown feathers (there are also patches of them around his joints, and a scaly touch to his digits). They function as normal feathers do, rising and flattening, fluffing up to expressi stronger emotions and so on. They also need regular preening and molt.

Ushijima possesses excellent vision and hearing as these birds do, while his sense of taste and smell lack noticeably. His lung capacity is tremendous and shines well in his physical stamina, and a few hours after an intense bind could leave him more prone to bird-like behavior— wanting to hunt if he's hungry, for example. In these instances, mental control is highly necessary, or he'll want to submit himself to a bind when the time limit is already up. Kind of like a drug.

HAND TO HAND COMBAT: While not superhuman, Ushijima tries to keep himself as well rounded as possible, and that includes physical fighting, even though it's not his area of specialty. With a towering structure, sturdy body and avian reflexes to give him something of a backup, he can hold himself well in a fight and is heavily trained to do so if he must; he's got the strength and muscle to throw exceptional punches, especially his left— his left hand is known to be a monster for those unready. He aims for vital points to stun, mostly the thorax and cervical area up, sometimes including the stomach. His style of fighting is also based on Eagle Claw, working a lot with grapples, grips, joint locks and throws.

CURRENT LIMITATIONS/WEAKNESSES
• 1 HOUR-1HOUR AND 1/2 OF CONTROL PER BIRD: longer than that, and the bird's instinct begins to bleed into his own, making it more difficult to know what's of his own mind and what's not. He runs the risk of losing himself if he maintains control longer than the current time limit.
• TAME VS WILD: Tame birds already bonded to Ushijima in some way are more comfortable with his presence, therefore can reach their maximum time limit with him without any problems. Wild birds on the other hand, have a stronger sense of instinct; they can be bothered with the extra headspace and are more prone to fighting back for control, halving his usual time limit to 1/2 hour or less.
• VULNERABILITY: Ushijima's body is unresponsive and comatose while he fully binds, leaving him open to any attacks made on him while he's gone. He won't react much to pain or outside stimuli unless it's a completely physiological response. Intense yelling and shaking can prompt him to return if done continuously.
• RAPTOR RESTRICTION: Ushijima only binds with hawks, eagles, falcons, etc. due to the comfort level he achieves with them (possibly out of the physical eagle mutation he has himself). Binding with other birds is not impossible, but avoided because of the mental incompatibility.
